    The AA recovery

Are you a patrol man? I agree, attitude is everything and this post is not stemed from me getting refused or mouthing off at the AA guy because of it, but rather the AA guy saying that he has it in his power to refuse me and that is the AA's stance. I still went home on a flatbed and the...

    The AA recovery

See I think it's a bit rich that they even bother to come out with this rubbish... Every breakdown, I mean EVERY breakdown that I have been involved with when out with my LR club, we have tried to fix it ourselves, or towed each other home, or been home to pick up a spare part, or driven to...

    The AA recovery

I had my steering pump collapse in the motorway services after driving home from a greenlaning day. Good fortune I thought, because a minute earlier or 10 mins later I'd have been on the motorway hard shoulder. My truck was dirty and the AA man threatened not to recover me because I'd been 'off...

    Nooooooooo

I would think Charlesy that if the crank was pinned at TDC then you would NOT be able to pin the pump (using the little service hatch) if indeed the belt had skipped at the crank pulley. this could be done without dismantling the timing case, but would only prove that the relationship between...

    tail door lock

Disco 200 and 300 locks are completley different from SeriesII Disco locks, no replaceable springs in a disco2 lock. You need a new lock, a lazy one will just eventually fail then you are in trouble, as there is no keyhole!

Disco 2 TD5 Jammed Tailgate lock

Discomite, I get exactly what you are saying, because that happened to me before, but I disconnected the rod from the outside handle simply to knock it out of the equation, the lever that it acts upon is the one that I'm wiggling from the inside...But no Joy!

Disco 2 TD5 Jammed Tailgate lock

I put a replacement door lock in the tailgate today, shut the door and now it wont open... The button comes up on key press but the mechanisim seems like it's jammed. I got the door card off from the inside and can get to the levers of the lock but I still cant get the door open, no matter how...
