So there I was, trying to fit some M8 rivnuts into the inner wings to allow me to secure the wing liner. I bought a cheapo rivnut tool and then... found I couldn't exert enough pressure on the tool to deform the rivnuts enough to lock them :mad: I added extra tubes to the handles, but the tool...

So was I a few weeks ago! If you can, get a proper welding jacket for the under-the-vehicle welding, saved me from some painful drips! :) If the floor is in good condition, then I think it is easier to cut back the two sill panels and put the new box section in, puddle welding it in place...

There aren't that many winch type lanes around Fleet. The Mad Hat Man and I do a noobie run near Basingstoke periodically, and there are several other seasoned laners in the area who you may be able to tag along with. Check out the info here on finding lanes. The Hants CC website is pretty good...

Bargain price for the metal mate. As you can see I had some inner sill left and used that as a backstop to the new box section. I removed all of the outer sill though, but didn't need to cut off any of the support posts - the box slipped in between the remnants of the inner sill and the posts...
