Yeah its a defender dipstick as the engine was originally a def engine its only the timing case, fuel inj pump and manifolds thats been changed :)

Hi guys My tdi converted 2a 88" has a defender 200tdi fitted but re-dressed as a disco 200tdi, my question is when sevicing i can only get 6.1lts in it on the level mark on the dipstick inc a filter and ran up after changing oil and filter but the level for a tdi in a discovery and or defender...

Haha its no quieter but a bit quicker :D

Hi guys In just 4 weeks time i will be traveling to cornwall in the 2a for a week metal detecting / camping in the roof tent and i just can't wait :D

If i still had the HRTC with the 3.54 diffs then i would have gone with that as it would just touch 100mph but with having the roof tent and boarding it out and carrying camping stuff and that i've now gone back to fully std gearing so std transfer box and 4.7-1diffs.

Blanked off now but not tested, will i notice anything when i do :)

Yes i think if peeps are coming from a petrol series then a tdi / di will always be noisy but if coming from a diesel series then i think the tdi is slightly quieter but i've never had a 200di so can't coment on that :)

Yes thats how i did my last one using some hose and a bolt ;)

Ok thanks, i have mine open but mite blank it as i always worry about carp getting in. My last tdi series had it blanked off.

Hi guys Does it matter if the vacuum pump is blanked off or not if not running a servo as i've seen pic's with them blanked off and just left open :)

Finally got round to fixing my metal detectors and sand scoop to the headboars and side panel yesterday using my quick fist clamps i bought from Forby and the recent Billing show :)

Ordered 2 of each S3 top and bottom hoses the other day so i can cut up and join up how i want it ;)

Are right ok i will look at that, i did another tdi conversion many many years ago and just used a flexi hose from Halfords which did the job well but can't remember the part number and can't find anything in thier stores either but will keep looking as well as you suggested ;)

Not really as they are discovery hoses with the molded hose i want to loose in that area which is what i sort of have now :(

Hi guys I want to re-route my bottom rad hose ( S2a with a disco 200tdi engine using a 200tdi radiator ) i'm using a home made hose made from cut up 200tdi bottom hoses and still using the molded hose that goes from the bottom hose to the header tank and want to do away with this and plumb that...
