I don't have a cable i prefer the rod setup but everything is set up right but i've since been told they do have a fast idle so it mite be right but just thought it was odd that its started idling faster thats all

Hi guys I replace the engine mount rubbers ( 200tdi with series petrol engine mounts ) just over 2 years ago when i last had the engine out but just noticed the engine is slightly revving more than normal on idle and with it being a 300tdi injection pump fitted i can't see where i can slow it...

You may have dropped a socket in there somewhere and locked it up

Yeah i didn't realise there was 3 different types though there was only 2 :(

It arrived this morning but straight away when i unboxed it i realised i'd ordered the wrong one wanted the deeper one that held two batteries but ordered the shallower one that was more of a tool box rather than a battery / tool box so i will probably put this on the for sale section and order...

Yeah i referbed them a couple of years ago using the Britpart restoring kits and they was great at first but over time they have lost thier support so as i've still got the runners i've decided to fit the series style ones :)

Hi guys As my n/s underseat tool/battery box is just about toasted i've decided to fit a YRM one and as my 2a is a tdi the battery lives under the seat and once its done i want to carry some tools in there as well, my question is which one do i go for the one made with a battery tray or the one...

Try swapping the rear drums over ;)

Have a look at the stack pipe in the tank for pin holes as if the tank has been used to running on low fuel then you have filled the tank the pin holes could be in the top half of the stack pipe so when going up hills its sucking in air ;)

New rear springs fitted and all seems good :D

One shot is for the swivels only or you can use ep 90, axles use ep 90 also and the wheel bearings are greased ( on late series 3's ) as one shot has grafite in it it can ruin wheel bearings :)

Right, due to me messing up with ordering with Jones springs ( thought i ordered them on thier website but didn't ) i've now bought a set of GME ones from Paddocks which arrived today and if weather permitting ( house decorating stuff in the garage ) i will fit them over the weekend :)
