    MPG Info

Same with mine, paid about £3000 for my td6, one of the better ones and a good honest seller who didn’t want to knock a penny off (usually a good sign) done basic maintenance, brakes, couple of services since, gearbox service and all transmission oils, engine breather etc, now started on looks...

What did you do with your Range Rover today

Meant to have more cleaning chemicals in it but in nearly all my diesels iv had iv never noticed any difference from normal, biggest difference I find is with my current td6, if I use Tesco fuel it sometimes feels like it had a dodgy injector but use shell, bp etc and it’s fine.

Other This is being pushed on me by YouTube

Totally agree there. I don’t do much as save each month but have couple of grand always available just incase.., there’s a massive amount to go wrong on new stuff, least with our older ones there still relatively simple, and even with an issue can normally be limped home. Also farther in law...

What did you do with your Range Rover today

Same here, to me nuts and bolts etc are easier to deal with than rot, I don’t mine but of flaking on say tailgate where it’s easy enough to clean and respray but sills, arches etc to much of a pain. Agree about budget, keep thinking add bit here and there and before you know it your original...

What did you do with your Range Rover today

That’s not bad at all, not much difference to td6 in the grand scheme especially when petrol is cheaper anyway, repairs don’t sound like anything too exciting just old age, arches are common on any I think even some 09 onwards l322 are needing arches, looked under a 405 last week, and there...

L322 Battery Drain - 2 nights and dead, tried everything I can think off....

For further there is a fuse for headlamp washer/ wipers, mine the seller told me he pulled the fuse as it was causing battery drain, iv never put it back in and had no issues. Also when car is locked after about 20mins you should see the red light on gear lever go out (one for Park) that is...

    Loss of drive/power

When gearbox had its oil change did they say anything about sludge or filings in the sump? When mine was serviced I asked him about condition and his reply was “there was only a few very small filings and nothing to worry about and it’s common on nearly every auto box, problems start when...

    Loss of drive/power

The way it’s described it sounds electronic, different issue but mine other day had heavy steering, turned of and on then all good.

    Loss of drive/power

Hard to say without diagnostics or anything like that. Has the box been serviced or rebuilt? Looking at other posts people seem to just lose drive totally, others seem to get a bit of drive back then goes again. You said you still have some drive, just no Power? If it’s been raining check the...

What did you do with your Range Rover today

There is a old upholsterer I know through the farther in law who is quite comfortable doing heated wheels, although not his favourite, but lately his not been well so this is why iv tried this refurb kit. If I had it recovered it would look the part as he is a brilliant upholsterer/ trimmer...

https://www.furnitureclinic.co.uk/leather-steering-wheel-repair-kit That’s the one, worked out about £30 with delivery, a lot less than having wheel re covered, especially as there wasn’t any damage just general wear/ lack of colour.

    Loss of drive/power

Have a look around floor and boot sides for any water, don’t know about your area but we’ve have very heavy storms and today heavy rain most of the day. Certainly enough to seep into electrics.

How are you finding miles per gallon? I keep looking at a S/C but sometimes rack some miles up, currently get 30 on a run and 18-22 round towns depending on summer or winter.

    Multiple issues, mechanic stumped

Great that it’s fixed. Keep eye on left side of boot as water gets in the navigation modules and that sends audio, screen, even lights crazy, mine lost radio, screen went crackly and wouldn’t respond then no indicators, instruments went a bit odd etc, plug on back of navigation unit had got wet...
