    Puma Defenders

l would be inclined to agree. lt's just that there's so few good ones around and there's loads of Puma ones to choose from, many of them in mint condition.

    Puma Defenders

QUOTE Pay £40000 for a low mileage example that you would be unable to drive ? lf l did buy one it would go straight to work, doing around 10,000 miles per year. Looking at the prices of higher mileage Puma Defenders it wouldn't be a financial decision, it would be purely down to which vehicle...

    Puma Defenders

So l have always looked at the Defender "Puma" because the vehicle is still a Defender but would be more useable for me day to day. Currently l am being offered effectively a straight swap for my 2022 Defender a 2015 Puma XS 110 with 27,000 miles. One of the things that concerns me about my...

    Value me this 110

The only gear worth anything would be the external roll bar, and possibly the light bar with sirens etc. It's got all sorts of bits and pieces inside that aren't really any use, such as parts of radio equipment and brackets, but will leave holes in the dash when removed. lt's basically a sound...

    Value me this 110

This one needs a lot of love. lt would be a great project but everything needs doing. The external roll cage is a bit of a stinker, although it doesn't look too bad. lt would probably have to stay. At least you'd be safer in a roll over.

    Defender 90 advice

l'll take that 300tdi. How much is it?

    Def 90

The new ones are proving to be pretty reliable, although when they do go wrong it can be expensive. l've got a 90 D250 and it's been faultless in the two years l've owned it. With all vehicles of this type you're taking a chance, once out of warranty. But l've seen them at 80,000 miles and...

    Value me this 110

When l did the mid crossmember on my 110 TD5, l fitted the new one by taking out the bolt-in floor panel. l had to cut the corners off two unused brackets on the top of the chassis, apparently only used on the truck cab version. l managed to fit the four long centre bolts although l had to...

    Value me this 110

Local dealer has a 110 part ex that they have offered me "as is" (no warranty) l am not sure of the value. lf l don't want it they said it will probably go "to the auction" rather than them retailing it. It's a 110 Stationwagon in the base specification (no central locking or electric windows)...

    Genuine listing or not?

That's effectively the same. Defender in great condition, bargain price but a fault with the brakes. So with the other one the guy said l could go and view it. How would the scam unfold. The vehicle is stolen? l assume it is actually there when you go and view it. You're not going to hand over...

    Genuine listing or not?

Well, someone got a bargain if it was a genuine sale. Maybe they will appear on here.

    Genuine listing or not?

The listing has disappeared. l don't know if that means it's sold, although it should be in completed listings. Not sure about BIN (buy it now) listings though. Do they disappear when sold?

    Defender L663 review !

Electric handbrake yes, and also the transmission brake is engaged when you stop the engine, unless the transmission is in "N" when you get a "transmission brake not engaged" warning on the dash. l've read that you "can't" work on these yourself but the basic servicing is a piece of cake. The...

    Genuine listing or not?

lt does look a bargain. I have to say. And still available surprisingly. Why has nobody else snapped it up, surprised a dealer hasn't been and grabbed it. l don't think l am going to be able to go and look at it, it's a 10 hour round trip from here.

    Genuine listing or not?

Yes he sent me some videos and photos and said he's away at the moment but back at the weekend and l could go and look at it on Sunday. He gave me a postcode, and the property (on Google Earth) seems to match the photos on the listing.

    Genuine listing or not?

lf you put the details into WBAC listing it as a non-runner it comes up with a valuation of £8,000 l've sent the seller a message asking if l can view it. l will see what comes back.

    Genuine listing or not?

This 2006 90XS with "ABS fault" Okay so it's probably the modulator and could cost £2,000 but even so, £7,000 (or offers) for a 2006 in nice condition? I would go and take a look if it exists but they're always about as far from me as it's possible to get, this one is a 700 mile round trip...

    Windscreen Rubber

Wow LR have certainly biffed up the price of a windscreen seal. Last time l bought an OEM one in 2018 it was £50. l've always fitted OE but l wouldn't at £180, the robbers.
