    I live in Preston ...

... and there's been an increase in defender drivers locally of late. It's just to let you know that I'm the one who has trained you all to wave at each other (apologies if you thought I was having a seizure as I approached you head-on on our first ever wave together :0)

    wanted: some Defender 90 things

BF Goodrich all terrain tyres x 2 (or signpost to cheapest new or part worn please), LR tubular dog guard that sits on bulkhead (not square-tubed travall type) and a dog crate and anything else doggy for def 90s (don't need a gun drawer unless it can be adapted to keep my dogging paraphernalia...

    My first defender and questions

TOAD with microwave set to 1ft perimeter warning and a thing that sets the alarm off if someone tilts it on rear wheels.

    newbie questions

My tuppence is this: Do a briggs myers personality test online first. Know what type of person you are first (I'm not joking here). You might be the type who spins out when a few things go wrong with it over the space of 6 months, coupled with tendency to think in black and white terms, in which...

90 Tub to side panel seals

Something which has been a great success for me is, I used expanding foam along the joint on the inside and obviously cut off the excess when it had gone hard. Has stopped me slicing my fingers off when washing the cab out too.

    Judder when pulling away

That happens to mine in winter. You've got to get a heater that works, remember to shunt the fan slide to feet fan and best to do five minutes of star jumps in the house before you set off. It's the only way to stop the right leg from shaking.

Some help please, thieves on my doorstep

Been away. On my return I can't believe that no one advised you to wire your carcass to your house (spare on your RCD trip so you deter and don't kill 'em).

    Blairgowrie to Lancashire

My intention was to post here AFTER the previous thread so your assumption is incorrect. Don't let me stop you enjoying your delusion so you can beat yourself off though.

    Blairgowrie to Lancashire

Just a grill the owner won't post. If anyone lives local and can take it to a parcelforce depot I'll pay for your trouble if no courier steps forward.
  12. M

    Where do you live?

I don't want a courier. I'll sort that out myself. The seller of an item isn't flexible/can't be arsed accommodating a courier, so it's local collection only. I want to know if someone lives in Blairgowrie, as in 'where do you live'.

    Where do you live?

Do we know anyone who lives near a place called Blairgowrie in Scotland?? Anyone? I have something I need picking up, then I can arrange with you to have it collected as the seller doesn't want the hassle.

    Belt tensioner pully

All I heard was a one second sound akin to a clock spring unravelling, then battery light came on. Powersteering went a few minutes after that (or straight away but I was on a straight of the motorway). Fortunately not too far off home so got there in time :0)

    Belt tensioner pully

He changed it whilst he was doing the job. The one that was on was shredded down one side. I was surprised that the main symptom is the PAS goes.

    Belt tensioner pully

My mate came back from Dubai a fortnight ago. He'll be there all throughout March next year. He's the travelling landy race mechanic for a chap who owns a landy worth half a million and razzes it all over the sand dunes in Arab land. There's nothing at all he doesn't know about landys, in fact...

    Belt tensioner pully

My came out last week. I was just coming off the motorway. Anyway, a pal of mine drilled out the old thread and re-threaded it and put a helicoil in. Just thought I'd say in case it's quite rare for 'em to come off. The bolt sticking out too far is probably why it wasn't as secure as it...

    Hi from Dumfries and Galloway

It's not me, but I'm ashamed to say that if I was moderately ****ed, I'd powerwash the ****er, pretend he didn't exist from the waist up and blow him anyway :D

    Shine another light

Faulty earth on the body connecting to the chassis underneath. What a palaver it's been. I'd hate to be an autoelectrician. A frustrating process of elimination. Y'all were right. Well done x
