They were giving grants in the eighties to replace lead from the mains to your house Ours came in the back so they switched to feed from the front They forgot to disconnect the lead pipe at the back so my old house has two feeds for water supply, garage and outside tap supplied from old pipes...

Early Freelanders seem to fair well

Disco one/R380 in my 90 had same problem if you left it stood more than a couple of weeks, had to start it in gear and drive with the clutch down to free it off, no idea why, maybe damp getting in and sticking plate to flywheel.

Dont want any engine issues or rust issues Disco or Freelander , plenty of time so I'll keep looking The car I bought to tow me caravan turned out to be a dog , should have stayed with Land Rover :confused::rolleyes:
