So there is air getting into the oil drawing from the sump I reckon, as grrrrrr said it could be the seal between the pump and pickup pipe 🤔

Is there any coolant in the engine? Do you have a picture of the oil that is coming out when you run the pump? 👍

Is it badly damaged or rusty? Can it be pulled out and filled maybe? One option would be to cut one off a scrapper, complete or partial. 🤔

See if you can get a bar in-between the engine crank pulley and the engine casing behind to check for movement, the rubber breaks down inside the pulley and it can rattle in the same manner. 👍

Why did they fit a plastic sheet over the back of the electronic gear in the boot🤔
