Changed to horizontal, as per old forum, definitely cleans up some white space.

I suggest you upload here now, it should accept and work with large images, let me know if you have any problems and I'll try to fix it.

Definitely not little benefit! The forums are running much faster than before, with less load on the server. And I am working on improvements, but this isn't my day job.
