    it just running standard road tyres for the moment until i can afford all terrain so dont think its that. the doris is a different type of whine to be honest and i switched off to that noise about 10yrs ago:blabla: steve

    cheers for the reply, yes i have had the car about 6 weeks, its a tdi and it doesnt look like much has been done recently so i will start by replacing oils thanks steve

    hi all, ihave had a disco for a short time now and noticed that it has a whine type noise when it goes above 40mph it sounds like its at the back (poss rear diff area) is this common? there is no noise below 40 and it quietens down again at about 68mph steve
