    Yella - nothing else will do the job, not even a comfy disco, the back end of those things always get locked (especially on the towbar)! Buy the best tool for the job, then mod it.

    Yep, pain in the bum for long legged gits, but the worst bit is when the mechanism gets so covered in crud you can't shift it! It's a sod when some shorty has been in mine, then I have to get back in. (mr bean in a landy!). Lifting the seat is usually the only option due to the bulkhead.

    What have you been rescued by?

    Got beached in deep ruts and was rescued by a 10 year old on a 550 quad - very embarassing. 4 blokes and 2 tonne of Landy rescued by a 10 year old, an old honda quad, and a dog who kept trying to round us up!

    Hummer - expensive, and only useful for traversing minefields - last time I checked, we ain't got many of those in the Lakes (or is someone keeping something from me?). Is this the one that tends to have building contractor bosses in it? I always thought it was just bleach blonde eighties guys...
