Thanks for the suggestion, it was the ignition barrel. Loop of wire and I'm mobile again.

An update - there is power to the correct circuits at P1 and P3 but dead at P2 (relay behind fuses clicks at P2 presumably switching off). The auxiliary accessories are only live at P1 and P3 also, not P2. It does seem to point to the ignition barrel.
