opened the relays to check the points, see if they were furred up, only very slightly. cleaned the contact points. also bridged the connector made the fuel pump run, but still will not start, even with spark and fuel pump running. i am starting to think its the ECU somehow

Ok, I hear two relays, but they are in the front footwells, left and right. The abs pump goes as normal. I have a good spark from the king lead. Swapped the two tin relays around under the drivers seat. Still no joy. They appear to have good very clean connections. Wiring looks ok. Will...

chances are if you cannot see anything in the proximity that it could plug into, then its for an optional extra that your car is not fitted with. also, these days sometimes they have parts that are for specific markets (worldwide), so it may not be relevant to the UK market? assuming everything...

i know it should be on the timing wheel somewhere, but for the life in me i cannot see it. should usually be mounted at the top, somewhere easy to see

one other question. i really looked hard and and do not understand why i cannot find the crank position sensor on my V8? surely there is one? was hoping i could find the location on the exploded view?

yes, i was always of the thinking that if you are going to have a V8, you should be able to hear it! had the exhaust custom made. the wheels are Compomotive 16x 8.5J iirc, bought them brand new along with the BFG AT, back in 2001! not seen many about on other cars, so guess they are quite rare...
