thers no resistance it goes in 2 gears fine and feels like selector is trying to select but nothing happens theres a slight grinding noise?

i have got disco h reg 2.5 diesel bought it a week ago was out today went to put it in 1st funny noise and nothing happened couldnt get any gears someone said it was gearbox someone else said it was the fork help me :confused:

i live in weston super mare just across water from you which would be easier to do selector fork or gear box do you know anyone cheap to get parts from?

ok thanks how much would a selector fork be as ive got an uncle who could do it for me as ive been quoted £500 4 second hand gear box!

Ive got an h reg disco diesel manual i was about to pull away in 1st and it kicked out of gear now i cant get any gears even with clutch fully in any ideas cos i havent got a clue as im a woman thanks:mad:
