I can pull it in and out with LN Pliers, i can hear/feel the motor spinning

The spike is stuck in, not out, so no issues opening. Just doesn't move (to locked position) with door locking

RR. 2008, TDV8 3.6 Vogue SE The little motorised spike that locks the fuel filler door is not working. Has anyone gone through the process of replacing? How do you get the old one out? Cheers. Ray

Ok its not water in diesel its a sensor fault but what was confusing me is the complete lack of cranking. However there is a simultaneous gear lever (auto) switch fault that was also happening - so it wasnt going into park. So it starts 🤣. The took me a bit to work it out.
