    Just a quick update - Landrover France have now categorically refused to make ANY contribution. Am now on Plan B !!! :mad:

    Thanks Jason - you are not wrong about the prices around here! I am going for the full monty at the moment to see how far I can push LRFrance - have managed to find an engine in the UK (but it is on hold for the moment).

    Yes, thanks, that's one of the sites I looked at. I will wait for Landrover France's response early next week (or so they tell me) and see how to take it further. I may be a girly girl, but I am at the very least tenacious! :D

    Told you I was useless - it is, of course, a TD5. Thanks for the confirmation - it just makes my blood boil to know that it could so easily have been prevented. Next question, has anyone got a spare engine, ideally in France? :D
