    I did this last year with the car on a lift, cheapo guy must have fixed solenoid on cheap, probably have to take off this time with jack so aiming to go by feel, thoughtful land rover designers used different size of bolt for the top one, so considerate of them.

    Seems to be great debate about changing the ATF and filter on the auto box, or leave well alone. am all into reventative maintainance so am considering changing but not sure if should open pandora's box.

    Fitted a new compressor, does the ecu need resetting

    I fitted mine today and no problems, not one to state the obvious but did you check all doors, boot and bonnet shut, then check 30 amp fuse as the big lads said, then failing that swap the relay for another in the main fuse box, if all that fails it's beat me

    first thing I checked was 30amp fuse and relay. told by couple of land rover workshops over here it was definitely the compressor. Ordered one today from breaker in Wolverhampto for £150, new one was £260 at best. Thanks.

    Just checked and the bushes in my watts linkage definitley done. How big a deal is it to change them ? Any tips before I start a whole handling in my drive ? Also prices seem high, £45 for the centre bearing and £42 each for the top and bottom bushes, does this eem right or is there an alternative ?

    Haynes manual suggests checking and adjusting the backlash in the steering box every 46,000 miles. This seems a reasonable amount of hassle, is it really necessary or does anybody actually bother?

    have been able to get marks left by kids off soft interior ok with stain remover, but on the back of the leather seats can't budge at all. Ideas welcome !
