overflow is a pipe on top of the header but it is a sealed system and only there as a presure releif i beleave, if it wert a sealed system it would boil

i have seen that site before but i may do the rear lights at a later stage am going to look at doing the front bummper at the weekend i think that all is really needed for the back is a cover panel for the lower tail gate and new rear lights

to fit the wipers i would have to cut the front chasie member completly away ( no thanks) lol and the back would be quite hard as even if u replaced the rear lights then u would be left with the ones on the tailgate so would look abit odd

from what ive read about them the early ones had a lot of probs with the auto box and others parts so be careful if i was you. and they would never get my 2000 p38 vouge for that they could dream on

thats what i thought its a pressurised system so should be air tight but i def can hear a slight hissing and bubbleing with my ear close to it

i think i will go and get a new one just incase for what they cost not the end of the earth just it does sound like a hissing noise going in from it when hot

does it have a accelorator cable or a sensor as i had a bmw once and that done it and it turned out to be the sensor on the accelorator peddle (no cable)

i was thinking it may be air as from what i have read these p38,s are prone for air it carnt be nothing major as it runs flawlessley and always has done since i done the head gaskets thanks alot

i just noticed one other thing that when its hot i can hear a slight bubble noise from the filler cap as if its not 100% sealed could this cause a problem or not thanks

welli filled the header back up to the cold fill line this morning before i even started it ,it has cured the heating problem, is it right that once its hot the level will drop as i checked it once it was hot 20 mins later and it had dropped will check again tommorow morning when its stone cold...

i must admit if thats the only thing i ever have to do to it every 3 months a little water i will be more than happy with that even if it still does it with the leak fixed ,seems minor compared with alot i have read on hear lol

could it be that when i done the head gaskets i took the air con pips off (doh) and it de pressurised it self everywhere and i have not yet had it refilled (due to bloody cold weather).
