    Sorry for this late response, but thanks again for all the advice. It turned out to be a faulty MAF. Replaced it and now it's brill!

    Cheers Warrior, It's a remap. Injector duration, so too much fuel before the boost comes in?

    Thanks Shifty, your exactly right! A puff of smoke (we are still talking exhaust fumes) I could live with but a big belch is not a good look. Is it a case of reducing the fueling a tad? (which defeats the point of chipping) Or fiddling with the maf? Or both?

    I am a new member and hoping to buy my first landy very soon even though I dont really need one. I have a question, I will only get to drive my passion every third or so weekend. Will an 04 Defender be happy to sit for 3 weeks (garaged!) at a time and start happily? I can put it on trickle...
