Hi all, Ive got a 2000 Discovery TD5, auto, when it changes gear it goes in with a thud, not bad at high speed, but worse at low speed? it almost feels like I'm being hit from behind..... Going from R or N to D it takes a second or to to engage. Any ideas? Torque Converter? Gearbox...

Hello all, What sort of MPG should I be getting from my Td5 Disco? 141K on the clock, full service history?? I think im getting about 20???? Seems worse than my old M Reg V8!!!:mad:

Nope, no noise's clunks, just a gentle vibrate at 50, then a horrid one at 55, Uj's being looked at next thursday. Fingers crossed. I will also print this out for the Garage bloke, so thanks again mate! :-)

The entire Disco shakes at 55, not the steering, :-(

Shaking Disco TD5! Please can you all help, I have just bought a T/99 Discovery Td5, all good so far, but, at 55mph she gets a violent shake. Only in 4th gear and only under load and only on flat roads, if im going up hill or round long sweeping bends she dont do it. I do know its not Tyres...
