    Door latch - help needed

The plastic fitting fits into semi-circular slot on the arm of the actuator. Is it a case of getting the blade of a screwdriver in the slot and prising it out?

    Door latch - help needed

Cheers for the response but I'm still not happy forcing it cos I know the ****ey plastic fitting will break!! I really need someone who's done the job as it'sprobably simple and obvious but I'm struggling anyway. I'm also having a go at getting it out without total removal of the window rails...

    Door latch - help needed

Hi, I'm in the process of replacing a knackered lock actuator (Disco 2). But I'm struggling sussing how to remove the rod which attaches the external door handle to the actuator but I'm worried that I might damage one of the plastic fitting on either end. Any help would much appreciated

    EGR replacement kits

I'm looking to carry out EGR replacement mod ASAP and have seen this kit on Ebay TD5 EGR Blanking Kit on eBay (end time 05-Mar-10 09:49:00 GMT) I've noticed on some of the more expensive kits that there are a couple of rubber plugs which this kit doesn't have. Windscreen heater

I hear what your saying about claiming on windscreen insurance but don't want to pay £60 - £70 excess for something that can be fixed. I've also read other posts on leaking windscreens after replacements have been poorly installed so would rather steer clear of that route.

I'm thinking it must be where the wires actually connect to the screen behind...

    Windscreen heater

Hi, I've noticed that my front windscreen heaters aren't working (pretty evident in the recent frosty mornings). I 've checked the fuses and relay and have verified voltage at the two plug connectors at either side of the screen. This would indicate the problem is at the actual connections onto...

    Newbie with issues

Today I removed the tailgate door card to investigate the missing rear screen heater cables. Firstly I was very suprised to find the plastic membrane was in place and totally intact making me think the cables would be just disconnected and stuffed into the door. I actually found both the cables...

    Newbie with issues

Thanks for the replies and suggestions. I'll have a play around tomorrow and get a better idea where I'm at. I'll get that tailgate door card off as well and reconnect the rear heater although I'm fully expecting a fuse to blow (or some other fiendish experience) - otherwise why would they be...
