hi, spoken to some dealers today to see what oil they use when they service freelander td4's. And they use shell helix plus 10w/40 semi synthetic does any one know the best place to get this without buying it from a shell garage ?

yes have been looking at the handbook and it recommands 5w/30 fully synthetic and the dealers too.so its time to make a decision on brand morris or comma ,might use comma syner z 5w/30 will cost though £30 for 5 litres but probly worth it since my td4 has only done 20,000 miles or i would use...

hi, just being reading about vcu's how long do they last ?.and how do you check if they are seized and why do they seize .which wheels do you turn to check it ?can you jack the back up and turn one wheel and see if the coupling moves without the shaft moving .:)
