sorted it now very big job had to drop sub frame ird box and gearbox took just under a day to do

had same problem it was the slave cylinder i have just replaced it and it was a very big job just check under your gearbox if you have fluid leaking from the bottom of the bell housing its your slave box out time oh and ird box and subframe

just put a new slave in my freelander td4 53 if all you want to do is bleed it its easy look over the top of the gearbox you will see a pipe with a bleed nipple (i made a bottle with a pipe comin out to a winscreen washer pump and another pipe the other end) connect the end to the nipple then...

check under the engine if there is a puddle of fluid then it is the slave cyclinder

you could drop the lower pipe off the intercooler if you get oil run out then your turbo could be pulling it though from a bearing seal

i have a 3 door 53 plate td4 and it has 3 seats in the rear so there are seats out there to fit it

what year is it and how many miles has it done

never done it on 4x4 but will be very big job do you realy realy need to

not got round to it yet not been well should all be ok i have been told that the clutch has only just been changed by last owner so should only need slave changed but i will have a good look around anyway

i have been told its better to back bleed the clutch on them anyone know if thats true

dont think there is any locks on the diff but i would def check and see if they jacked it up under the diff or gearbox

was told by last owner that there was a power chip on me freelander td4 when he had it had a good look and have found a power chip box on the ecu from psi motorsport has anyone got the same sort of thing on there landy and any fax and figures on them
