Cheers Wammers think it was an all makes water pump that was put on it. will replace it with a proper one. and as for the timing cover oh well off with the sump it is then.:(

Afternoon all. Well it would appear my water pump is knackered after 12,000 miles. would have thought id have got more than that out of it. Got a bit of play in the bearing and pink coolant spatters on it. Also can you take the timing cover off without taking the sump off. Cheers guys

there is a code stamped on the side wall of the tyre which gives the month and year of tyre manufacture. personally I wouldn't have a tyre on my car any more than 3 years old

Finally got round to changing the 20 inch alloys for 18 inch triple sports with brand new tyres and its like driving a different car!! wish id done it earlier. Now to get rid of 4 l322 20 inch comet alloys.:D

yeah ive been thinking about it all morning peter as to my knowledge big ends only go when its due to lack of oil. was going to whip the sump off have a look in there and also check the wiring for the oil pressure sensor to see if it has been played with.

Hi guys right need a few opinions off you lot. Mate of mine has just bought a p38 with a thor engine only problem is the bottom end is knocking so I reckon crank and big ends need replacing. think im obsessive james as I check the water every 2 or 3 days ive always said about these cars they shouldn't overheat or slip the liners if you keep on top of the cooling system like I said think I worry too much lol

oo never checked there drium. now this is where I can be a bit green james I thought the level was the level didn't think it would decide for itself what water level it would like. mind you it is a range rover and they all seem to have minds of their own.
