This is very true! Took the dog for a walk the other day and on hte way home (in the Freelander) could hear this weird noise... turned off radio, opened windows... yep definate noise... pulled over to check tyres, um weird engine stopped not moving but still this strange noise! I then remembered...

Crikey, worry when you're putting in a pint or more every time you go 10 miles or so (like mine did!). Mine was diagnosed with leaky hose, which didnt solve it and then manifold gasket?! (think they mean head gasket??, but hey I'm female what would i know eh????.....)

Hi Guys Having trouble with my drivers door, when you try and open the car with the remote central locking fob all doors open except the drivers and i then have to use the key to get in. The fob locks all the doors ok, but the emergency door lock/unlock (next to rear window button) won't...

Initial diagnosis is that the Water Pump has gone :( ! My very helpful garage are having it in tomoz to fix it. Will let you know if it turns out to be something else, just in case someone else gets the same thing. :)

1500kg?? In my handbook (TD4 Auto 2001) it says max towing weight is 2000kg! It better be - I need to tow with it (no not a caravan!!) My mate has a TD4 which tows a 980kg horse box complete with about 1000kgs of horse with no problem :) So I imagine the 2000kgs is more like it...... ;) ;)

Cheers:) haven't used air con so assume it must be a leak, will crawl under it tomoz and have a good look. Just like to have a good idea what it is before i take it to garage. Parked it on flat dont worry:D My first Freelander, but not my last! I love it!

Helpless female needs some advice. Just bought td4 auto freelander 2001 and strange things are happening with the coolant levels! Been on long motorway trip and found puddle of water forming under car, can't see where it is coming from because of the panel under the engine. Coolant dropped below...
