Yeh I think I know what you are refering to. There is actually a way of switching on the car electrics without the engine. Put the key card into slot then press the on button but dont touch any pedals, not sure how manual vehicles start but I know in auto you get to put foot on break otherwise...

Not hard when you know how to fix it. Shame its not easy to find out how to solve the problem, took me a while to work it out. Can you believe I rang LR main dealers and window specialists and none of the idiots knew how to fix it but the suggested replacing screen (hundreds of pounds)...
