Hi,
Could I pls have some advise.
My 54 RR Vogue 4.4 suffered a burst Power Steering pipe follwed by a loud squeal from the Steering system. Drove it 4m home while squealing
Mechanic (None RR Dealer) fixed burst pipe (didnt replace it)
A reduced noise was still aparent when rotating the ste'ring wheel betw'n full lock post'ns
Next day replaced the power steering pump & still same noise there
Then replaced the new pump with another new pump, still noise was there.
Prior to this fault no audiable noise from the steering system between full lock pos'ns present
Do I keep replacing parts starting with the Steering Rack next hoping that the noise is curred (non of the 3 mechanics or Local Land Rover Dealer can suggest anything other than it might be the Steering Rack (its an expensive might be).
Does any 1 have any sugg'tions of the cause of the noise from the S System or have experienced such or should I just visit RR Dealer & swallow what ever it costs to resolve it?
Regards,
Lyndon
