Freelander 1 low mileage

As anyone got sub 50,000 mileage Freelander 1 ?
Did Andy have a 5 door sport with low mileage I was just wondering the pitfalls re commissioning a really unused TD4 more than usual brakes and fluids changing the tyres all need addressing i guess the front lower arms will be hanging off
Just asking as I might have a project this week coming my way

Bought a 27k mile TD4 and a 53k TD4 sport.
Depends how it had been stored. The 27k was garaged and mint.
The Sport had been stored unused and had a flat battery and headlining droop. Also seized calipers and worn out discs

All other issues were a result of poor workmanship on service records. Fuel leak from pump, replaced by garage 2 months previous. Broken grille where pulled away for underpan removal. Cut wheel arch liner to make a fuel pump change easier, back cut off air filter lid to make refitting easier. Clips broken and missing where someone had been before !!

Other than that, if stored outside check for rust, mold, change fluids, check for seized brake components.

Both, with a few days to go over properly and repair damage and service have been excellent buys and now show 65k and 74k respectively.

Sport needed an alternator at about 65k. Bit early but not difficult or expensive.

If I saw another low miler I'd snap it up !!

It’s a 2 owner not much else to say as it’s in the negotiations stage at the minute but fingers crossed it will be mine in 24h before you southern lot start looking It’s up north

Tell the seller to warm it up fully. As with any potential purchase, take diagnostics with you & check it.
