Hi all ,so my sump plug won't budge no matter what I try whacking a smaller socket on ,heat ,wd40 overnight ,it's stuck but I have just been told the black tube that's lower than the sump plug can be pulled instead to empty the sump is this correct before I do but apparently they do it in garages and land rover technicians as it's a lot cleaner way of emptying the oil picture attached thanks all.

Get ur self a fluid vac save your self a lot of pain
I'll be off to get one today hopefully euro.has.one as getting places is a pain at the moment and need to change the oil today ,is that correct though land rover technicians drain it from that pipe instead of undoing sump or rounding plug head , would it work ? I'll leave it alone as don't want to loosen any seal etc and start a leak off ,best wishes Tony 👍

They dont drain it as such, they suck it out from the top. Many models are like it now.
I used to do it 50yrs ago on boat engines, sat job as a teenager on a holiday boats boat yard.
