Contemplating doing a makeover on the oil bath filter. I googled the OEM 1973 color and google responded with the color Blue. Has anyone seen a stock factory Blue filter?

I refurbed mine recently, just happened to have a tin of blue enamel boat paint in garage, used cup wheel on outside, few costs of primer and this paint went on beautiful, colour match close enough for

On the last pic you can see the original colour blue I took all the paint off down to steel , then primed and coloured , mine is an 84 series 3 and had the blue as original on my pastel green landy

I think I was the one to confuse everyone.
I think the blue filter container looks great blue, mine is grayish / silver on my 73 series 3 I believe and wondered if blue was an original color.
As for a refurb on my oil bath air filter I'll most likely keep it satin black

I had a tin of yellow left from painting a tractor PTO bar. So mine is yellow.
The point being the engine inherited with the sad old 109 was leaking oil out of every orifice, in fact the engine bay looked like the drilling floor on an oil rig. No wonder there isn’t any sign of rust. Compounded by the fan blowing liquid oil up everything. So now I’ve done most of the seals, the oil bath is yellow and the sump pan is duck egg blue. When the oil flows again it will be obvious where is coming from. My money is on the crank case oil seal or worse the rear engine seal. Both jobs that ideally require engine out. Durdy doosels
