Any other ideas, air con on off makes little difference.

Does it have a smooth back. If so that's your problem. Genuine are slightly rough finish

No, rough, contitec, genuine.

Will run a bit longer before I buy anti squeak spray.

The exhaust manifold being warped makes a noise like a squeaky belt.

Have a look at that.

Also check with a long straight edge that all pulleys are in alignment.
