A colleague of mine has got into 3D printing in a big way and some of the stuff he is doing is really very good. He can do pretty detailed pieces and the stuff he's made has a robust feeling that I didn't expect from layers of melted plastic built up by a home machine.

I really was quite impressed and it got me thinking that I would maybe like some LR/Freelander themed items or some gizmos, accessories etc. Any thoughts or ideas on stuff to be produced, including expensive or difficult to obtain parts? Hair drier holders is a prerequisite obvs.

I've considered getting a 3d printer, but mostly for bits and bobs. Upholstery clips, the smashed end of the roof rack and some lesser pieces. Depending on one's views on reproducing existing parts, the light protectors could be an idea. I don't have them, but looking at muddy mods, you would at least save some money. ;)

I was thinking of getting a 3d printer. So I can do a monster dog turd model, and display at the Tate gallery as a EV Evoque 😁

I'd love a decent 3D printer. I've got a cheap one, which doesn't produce the prettiest of parts, but it does work, although the print bed is too small for most things car related.
One day I'll invest in a decent one, if I can find a suitable location for it in the house.

Surely Landyzone Priory, vast acreage with attached Cathedral and many scribes, who adorn this place of worship could fashion requested parts.🙏🙏🙏
