Hello from france !

I'm sincerely sorry for my English. ;)

I can no longer use my car key remote to open and close the doors. The battery in the remote is new. So I suspect the RF Receiver. And I wanted to know if there should be a ground or earth at this screw.

All fuses are in good condition. I tried with another RF Receiver and it still doesn't work.

Permanently. Because I tested it and I have nothing. No earth !

If one of you could help me... Regards ! Olivier

The retaining screw is to ground the receiver against possible electromagnetic interference, the item’s functional earth is within the loom, possibly a black wire.

Ok ! Thank you so much Discool for your help.

So... How do you explain the non-functioning of the remote door opening ? Knowing that the battery is new in the key fob. Knowing also that a new RD Receiver was installed and that it still does not work.

Best to decide if it’s mechanical or electrical.
Mechanical issues were known with either the locking or unlocking motor, both are housed within the drivers door lock, the issue was resolved. When locking or unlocking do u hear any sounds.

For electrical have you checked central locking fuse is ok.
Also do you have two functioning key/fob plus how do you lock unlock the vehicle now?

Currently I lock all doors or unlock all doors by placing the key in the driver's side cylinder.

Fuse n°1 ( main fuses box ) is ok ( central door locking )

I've just one functioning key/fob !

When I open or close with the key in the barrel, there is no different noise than when I previously used the remote control.

The good news the mechanism appears ok, but the standard procedure as stated in the owners handbook is when locking with the key in the driver’s door lock you must always unlock via the fob otherwise the alarm will activate, and that isn’t ? ☹️

That's exactly it! I lock and unlock the doors with the key in the driver's side cylinder. And when I open the door with the key, the alarm doesn't actually go off.
If I understand correctly, once the doors are closed, if I open them with the key in the cylinder, the alarm should go off. Which is actually not the case.

I'm not sure of anything except that remote opening of the doors is impossible! ;)
Your central locking operation is simple to the D1 as much the driver’s door lock is called a master the others are called slaves so when the drivers door locks or unlocks the others follow, its a long while ago but the D2 forum was full with questions and answers about issues with central locking fuse and most of the replies stated that the lock motor/s are faulty so replace, or repair as some did after finding a supplier stocking a similar motor and they then took the lock a part and replaced the motor.

Sorry thats all I took on board on the subject as the D1 doesn’t have that issue, which was one on of the 70 upgrades the D2 had from the D1
If you Google the issue you will find info on most LR forums.

I've just found my second key and this one has enabled me to open and close the vehicle remotely! I'm a bit ashamed because I should have thought of that first. So my problem is really with the key and not with anything else.

I'd like to say a big thank you to everyone who helped me solve my problem.

If you have an address to suggest for repairing my key...

Thanks again to all and I wish you a very nice day!

No problem and it’s an easy error to make. There are so many things that can go wrong, and if you knew you renewed the battery in the key, your attention turns elsewhere. I have heard of the small pcb in the key causing issues before, so can only assume it’s that.
