Ere’… I was talking to the guys that I go to when my Landy is broke and I don’t know what to do (read “generally an expensive trip out”)… but to be fair, what they don’t know / don’t have or can’t do on a Freelander can be written on the back of a very small stamp.

Anyway, chatting to the owners - they are soon setting off on another expedition - this time a ‘classic’ Himalayan rally.
They are taking their Camel L Series F1, and a good friend of theirs is taking his G4, which he acquired very cheaply at an auction of all places. They also thought they would ask their mate - Nick Dimbleby, if he wanted to bring his Yellow Freelander along for the ride, which he is… get some shots and all that.
Apparently, the G4 that is going appears to be the very one that Nick travelled with and shot in Australia!

Small Landy world, huh!

You should go with them Freddie
I’d have loved to, (I did enquire 😁) but to qualify for this one, the car has to be earlier than 2002.
I could have got my old F1 from my daughter, but even that is too young at 2004!

10 days plodding round the Himalayas in a car is right up my street. I’d like to do the Mongul Rally one year too.
