A powered finger file is your friend to grind off the heads off the bolts. Unless they've been removed already sometime recently the heads will chew off and you have no hope of getting them out.

Thank you for the reply, didn't even think to take them apart! My pressure bleeder seems to work alright, but I'll be using the pedal next time to ensure I get full range of the master to ensure air is taken out of that, going to fit them next...

None other than, yep, put new cylinders on. If not properly bled the air in them, which contains water vapour, adds to any rust problem. Also they work over such a tiny distance that even if you take them apart and hone them, they often simply...

Or the very simple rubber tube with the bolt in the far end and the slit in the side. Cost peanuts and I use them all the time, I have even made one when I couldn't get one. Eezibleed is an oxymoron. Gave up on mine when it refused to work but...

It's me again! Finally managed to find the courage to look at the rear brakes... I hate drums. Found that the wheel cylinders feel like sh*te and don't return when pressed, they go no pressure from the pedal until about 3/4 the way down the...

Only 5 weeks away. Having a meeting this week to agree and order some FL goodies. More / different can be obtained after the event if they are a success ! This event is open to all Freelander owners (others might find it dull). I have a list...

So I replaced the O2 Sensor to ensure that was not it, and nope... It is still misfiring... I don't THINK it is consuming coolant since replacing that bolt/nut properly on the intake but super confused what could be making it misfire / failing...

Yeah I was going to do this, but if this doesn't work I have a feeling I will have another spin off thread about custom Proportional Valves on this car too  😂 No biggie! Thank you for checking

Sorry, never even seen one !! As you have no ABS they are a bit special. Unlikely to be faulty but why not crack the pipes and bleed at that point then reconnect and bleed. See if they have an air lock. This whole saga is a mystery.

If you've abs then the pump needs to run to get the air out. Usually diag will do this.

Are the flexi hoses new? They can bulge causing soft brake.

@andyfreelandy I don't suppose you have any Proportioning Valves from the Freelander laying around? It could be the valves in there are failing and letting air move around? Honestly grasping at straws here 😂

No ABS module on mine, only part I have not really replaced / inspected is the Bias valve, I wonder if air could get trapped in there? I've tried to bleed it with both a pressure bleeder that I run at about 20 PSI constantly and using the foot...

Well here we are again! News is news, still thought I'd update here. My thought with the lack of pedal was seized caliper guide pins, which after taking off both calipers, 2 of 4 were incredibly seized and 1 mildly seized, the last one...

MOT'd the G4. No advisories but the horn clock spring wire went open circuit on way to MOT so had to replace the clock spring. It passed OK then !!

Seems they want it facing the front of the car... beats me as to why, but I'd go with what they say, they manufacture them after all, not me 😂
