  • Wish I had checked on here before today, our freelander is at this moment at the stratstone garage in Cheltenham.
Thinking back to when we bought it from them they gave us a service because it wasn't a new one then the following two years we had complementary free services,I wondered why until we put it in for its service this year it has several big jobs that have to be done and I'm sure this couldn't have all happened in the last year.
And I have never known of two prices for servicing a Freelander one a Stratstone price and another price for a Land rover service.
Never again we have been well and truly stitched up.
Thank you once again for your valued advice.
    Kind regards woode.
Stratstone are expensive and have a poor reputation, you will get better value from decent independent specialist.
    regards fanatic
Thank you so much for your help, our son in law had a quick look last night and he said more or less the same as yourself ,but as myself and my husband are not in good health we take our Freelander to our local Stratstone dealer.
Once again thank you so much for your valuable help.
While since I fitted set of steps to td4 freelander, seem to remember nut inserts fitted to car and box section fitting- if similar then new peice of box section welded on and hole drilled should sort it.
Hi I wonder if anyone could help me,as I stepped out of our freelander 1 onto I think it's called a skirt or a running board it snapped , only the the front bracket snapped so I was wondering if I could buy just the bracket , or do I have to buy new running boards.
    Many thanks for any help
