Its starting to look like Christmas everywhere you go … Shiney landy bits adorne the man cave ! Very happy with the quality, a few hours of cleaning with a flap disc, few holes to re threaded and jobs a goodun!

Whooooohoooo! Galvanized bits are back and looking bloody amazing! Apparently theres an extra levy on the standard galvanising service its called the silver service 😂 , or in this case a tip !

Ok so theres more glue on my hands than there is in the tin bit aftet some stretching, pulling and pushing I’m pleased with the results, unfortunately the glue reacted slightly with the expanding foam and theres a slight dip where I’ve filled in the speaker hole. unfortunately I cant do anything...

Bit of filler to smooth out the dash, vinyl cut to size ready to glue.

Re shaped the foam backing then stuck it back onto the steel panel using high temp contact adhesive, all the gaps filled with fire resistant expanding foam. Will trim it back and sand smooth tomorrow once its fully cured.
I’ve retrimmed over the old vinyl on the upper dash as it was well stuck...

Lower dash cleaned up small repair done to lower edge, then rust converted and sprayed. Made a new lid out of 1.6mm galv sheet cut shaped drilled and sprayed. Foam all cleaned ready to be stuck on tomorrow when the high temp contact adhesive turns up. Then its 4 way stretch vinyl time , that...

Next up on the list is to eradicate the tin worm that living in the dashboard, patch up, paint and re cover.

Heater box stripped, cleaned, painted, re rivited, re stickered, polished and photographed. Jus like that !

Cant wait to get this rear tub in primer it’s starting to grind! I would say to anyone restoring a landy that it’s the most time consuming piece of the jigsaw to get right and the most visible once done, get it wrong and it will annoy you every time you go for the door handle

Righ hand side of tub skimmed with fine filler and block sanded to smooth out any small dents

Tub underside all finished, etch primed and then undersealed with gravitex stone guard, ready for primer and paint.
Will start on the outside next flattern then fill and block sand.

I have used HB Body Pro S115 and HMP seam seal both as equally as good. But the HB stuff does dry slightly harder
