Yeah I've got one of those mini screwdriver drills & a screw extractor set, but like you say the room to get in is very tight. The extractor sets are double ended too which makes it longer. I could cut one un half and see if it'll fit 🤔
I don't know how much room you've got, but might you get a drill and one of those Irwin Stud Extractor tools in there? I've had some success with them. A welded nut is better though!

Plenty of conflicting info based on parent materials and bolt tensile but will give an idea. L'otite is always a good adage if in doubt. 👌
