So the Disco started with the jump leads coming from the Defender (which has a brand new battery bought only recently). It started first time but did labour a little, I suspect it may have been the, not ideal, connection with the jump leads crocodile clamps.
What do you think?

On this tomorrow, will try the jump leads straight from the Defender and get back to you 👍

Thanks, it’s an Auto. It tries, to crank but only once or twice and that’s really laboured, then won’t turn over at all. Started fine when jumped from the Defender tho. Would that imply the starter is likely ok and it’s the battery that’s duff. I will try with the good battery off the Defender.

Thanks, good plan re the Defender battery…I did think about that but it’s such a faff and I don’t have the energy after so much food over the last week… I’ll get on it tho, all the best to your and yours too 👍

Hi, hope you all had a good Christmas!

Thanks, but why feed directly into the intake, why not bypass it altogether to only clean air through and blank off the valve?? It is/should only be blowing out of crankcase after all.

Hi,
Can some explain why the mushroom valve is required on the TD5 engine? If it is one way and potentially blows (albeit nominal amounts) of oil into the turbo why not bypass it altogether and bank off the breather valve?
Thanks....

Hi all,
I am going to fit some 3mm chequered plate on my 110 (1999) wings and bonnet. I have seen a few videos and one or two suggest putting something between the plate and the bonnet. Is this something you have done or gone for riveting straight to the bonnet? I am getting mine from Rimmer...

Thanks, winch is fed from main battery (rarely used). I'll leave it on as being able to light the interior up with those internal lights and plugging the compressor in the the 12v socket in the back is a real boon!

I have a professionally installed Second battery that was originally installed to power a fridge etc... I really only use it for internal lights and a convertor, 12v cigar lighter extensions for compressor and so on. Is there any harm in leaving it 'On' via the isolator switch? Its a bit of a...
