Also check the waste gate actuator. It can come loose. Mine lost both of its nuts in the middle of a Christmas holiday down in Cornwall. all it would have taken to fix it was 2 M6 nuts!! Typically shops and garages all shut! If the car goes back... -

Is it like there is a rev limiter at about 2,500 rpm? This happened to me and according to the garage the turbo pipe had come off at the bottom and was reconnected with a new clip. You might also want to introduce yourself and your car here...

TI just recently bought a 2001 td5 discovery 2 auto. If I put my foot down, the revs pulse and it feels as if there virtually no power at all, almost like the turbo isn’t working or it’s in limp mode or something. It has been fine the past month...
