    Hi Fred! thanks for your input. I have tried all the usual fault finding but can't find the fault. I am putting it in a garage now as I am disabled and it is difficult for me to go any further with it. Thanks anyway. Kind regards. Tony

    No it didn't smoke but I have just discovered that there is no spark at the plugs even though the RAC told me there was. Tony

    Yes there is a spark at the plugs and it has fuel etc. I must apologise to wills. There is no spark at the plugs even though the RAC told me there was but I have re-checked myself.

    I have a 1995 4.6 V8 which won't start. My wife drove it on to the drive,locked it and came in the house.Next morning I tried to start it but the engine just turned over but woudn't fire.
