Honestly I am loosing the will here. New video, but doesn't really do the noise justice, it's very loud in the cab. The noise is consistent and variable with increase/decrease of boost pressure. You can't here it when reving the engine with no...

All sorted. Replaced the a frame bushes, bolts, and the rear fulcrum. I have come to learn that heat, angle grinders, and more force than you think are required. All good fun!

I've got a 2004 TD5 and has a loud whistle. Nanocom shows <1.1 boost and feels down on power so think something is not working right! I posted a video here interested to know if yours sounds similiar. When I bought it, it came with a 'sports'...

Thanks all! Very helpful comments. I will report back when done! I’m at LRM this weekend so might be a few days before I get around to it!

The "cotton reel" type poly bushes are a pain on the rear arms, I dont see the improvement. I will find you a video. On my son's Ninety I did it all by hand with bolts and g-clamps. To be fair it was covid lock down so needed to find something to do.

The bolts and bushes typically need a lot of force to move them - a lot more than you'd usually need for Alfa Romeo maintenance, anyway. I've got a hydraulic press with a dial on it and it is not unusual to see 10 or 15 tons needed to shift...

Thanks! The original bushes were split type ones so don’t think they have a metal sleeve, but will double check

Thank you. It’s definitely a job I wish I hadn’t started. And now I’m questioning which grease I should use on bolts…

Hello! I thought this would be a simple job… I’m new to defender ownership, relatively handy with a spanner, although my only experience has been with Alfa’s so guessing the below is normal. Landy failed on the a frame bushes and thought I would...

Adjusted the wastegate as it had 18 threads, now down to 13/14 and getting 1.05 boost, and feels more responsive. The noise is worse though - and makes me feel its the turbo. Whenever on load and you press/depress the accelerator pedal the noise...

Thanks! So - replaced the battery and installed the air bleed valve. Requires a couple of attempts to start from overnight, and get quite a bit of white smoke. When starting from warm, takes a few seconds but does start, so progress! I've got...

Separate issue with non-starting (see other thread). It appears to be the battery although still think there is a fuel issue. Anyway, took the wastegate actuator apart and the wastegate was mostly free, but sometimes would never return to...

Nothing, as currently it will not start... Posted another thread about that, as don't think its entirely related (but could be). I've invested in a Nanocom and had some old codes for EGR closed and other things, but cleared and no new codes...
