Previous freelander 1 owner, original ice blue 5dr 1.8 petrol. Blew an oil seal and cooked the engine, new engine replaced under warranty. Collected the day Christmas holidays began. Drove home apprx 3mile and temp gauge went through the dash. Let engine cool and opened coolant cap to refill only for all to run round my feet. 2nd engine cooked because garage { main landrover agent } didn't tighten an 80p hose clip.
2nd freebie, dark met blue serengetti diesel. Front drive shaft problems. Apart from this loved the drive of both vehicles, one of best vehicles I,ve owned. Now i'm retired due to an accident I would love to buy a project vehicle to work on with my 2 sons and as they say on tv pimp my ride. Probably won't be off road that much unless you call the beach off road to launch jet skis or a rib for scuba diving offroading.
