Good point, I don’t understand why FL1’s are on the same section of the forum as the FL2’s. They are not even similar (BMW vs Ford) although they do both have four wheels and an engine.
Not sure if this is the recommended way to do it. But I would jack up the front of the car and turn the steering lock to lock a few times without the engine running. once you are happy that the level is not going down, then that should be the air out of the system
Compared to the cost of the other parts (pump and rack) I did not think it was worth trying to scrimp. But any oil is better than no oil so perhaps use the stuff you have to flush it out?

Sounds like they didn’t get to the bottom of the problem. You could do with a way to monitor the current to each of the plugs or even all of them. Think I did a video on testing them a while back. I will have a look later when I get home.
