Hi I'm a confirmed land rover guy. Owned a land rover since 1985. series 3 was my first 2.5 petrol short wheelbase got it very muddy in Derbyshire, also driven on the road. upgrade to a Range Rover classic sorted out a diesel conversion with a Perkins engine it went every where a 25 to the gallon solo or towing. upgraded to a J reg Disco 1 3.5 petrol, which i converted to run on LPG. Then to an R reg Diesel Disco 1 liked it but slow after the 3.5 so moved on to a 1996 P38 4.6 HSE with full body kit which i still own(off road but still runs well).
I now run a 2001 4.6 P38 Vouge, Its a late model first registered 2002 Feb, Its a nice car with all the normal P38 problems. mostly fixed for now.
