Leisure battery is smelling. 14.76v coming in from split charger. Disconnect the +ve and -ve smell stops. Bit of Leakage as seen in photo

Starter battery is fine but sniffing around the leisure has uncovered the culprit. Only 5 months old. Split charge setup delivering 14.74 v into it. Is that too high?

Is it just the gas from the manifold or is something blocked? I ask because how come it doesn't smell like that at the back end? It's a straight through pipe

This started a couple of weeks ago. I need to put a bulkhead on her as there's plenty of holes in the bulkhead.
Consequently if I gas it heavily I can smell exhaust which is why I'm thinking this is the culprit for this new smell. I gotta say it's like a really special lingering meat fart...

So when I loft the clutch slightly the rattle does go away.

Thanks pal, yes the cross drill gear is what I was thinking about.
Yes I've checked the mesh and magnet checked what came out, not too bad apart from 1 little bit of metal. I'll try and attach the photo.

Hi Guys,
1991 Defenderc110 200tdi with Lt77 gearbox. I've got a chatter in any gear when a depress the clutch. When shifting down this happens mainly and 3rd is by far the trickiest to find or loudest chatter, again mainly when shifting down.
I can be sat at a roundabout in 2nd with clutch...

Would changing the bottom block also mean swapping the sump got the original Disco sump?
