Please can any one advise me on my 03 Vogue stereo unit. It has a fault and i am told it is common, there may be refurbished ones available but i am having problems locating

I have recently purchased a 2003 R/R Vogue, the in car head set / unit is faulty.
It cuts out , goes blank and resets itself.
i have heard this is common, is there a cure or any ideas ?
