yep thats perfect
but wrong :D
took the cap off when it was cold, no pressure (good) took the cap off when it was hot, no pressure (bad)
topped it up when it was cold, no pressure. messed with the cap and put it back on when it was still cold, no...
Let me see If I can explain myself thinking.
When you top it up/fill it you do so with no pressure in the system 👍.
When you put the cap on you are not trapping any pressure👍.
Now if you put the cap on with it warm/hot, cos you were running it...
i nobbed about with the cap for a while last night.. parked at work this morning and there was some pressure in the system! so i think that proves its a dodgy cap
Newspaper test - roll up a newspaper and slowly insert into the viscous fan. When cold it should stop the fan turning but as engine warms it should get more resistance and try to shred the newspaper. (Free when cold - locked when hot)
Careful to...
I don't have a Landy with a DPF, but I'm very familiar with them from other cars...
So as lynall says above, it will be because of something else either failing or not happening. The typical issue you see is people driving around with the fuel...
Yep Turns out the new hose was not reinforced, so it expanded then contracted every time. This caused a small hole to get bigger and bigger until it ended in a slit about 21/2 inches long and hence the wheezy noise
Always nice when a fix goes to plan. That happened to me, once! It was about 10 years ago, the windscreen washer stopped working.. i topped up the fluid and it started working again!! 🥳
No power going up hills and slopes and a whooshing noise coming from turbo. Outlet hose had split. New hose fitted and full boost now back. :vb-bouncy2: 👍 👍
Every time I've tested... maybe on 3 different green pressure valves, they've stopped the compressor at 150psi on the dot.
I'd have thought the compressor itself would have given up the ghost by 200psi!
I don't know how accurate my pressure...
Not sure what the valve block seals will handle, but if it really if getting that high, check the pressure relief valve. It should blow off above 180psi.
Absolutely correct. There are loads of electrical noise sources in cars, hence why the HK Audio uses balanced audio connections & have each amplifier grounded. Most likely that car has corroded connectors in the footwells . . . where the...
Economic fabrication I call it and in the aircraft zone and quoted by an engineer I spoke to in the aircraft or airliner game, they call it value fabrication.
It's a question of money and budget as with everything. Although in comparison a...
Overhauled the EAS on mine a few times, spent a small fortune on it mechanically.
Youngest P38 is 23yrs old you'd have to be a bit of a dreamer to expect it to be 100% reliable.
EAS makes the P38 in my opinion, part of its character..
