Steering wheel restoration kit arrived yesterday so set to.
that dark stuff that I assumed was the finish wearing off was infact grime. The alcohol cleaner in the kit barely touched it and there would be no where near enough anyway to do all...
I just tighten the crank bolt with my wrench that is limited to 240 NM , i gave a little more , about 20 °, as the torque should be 270 NM ...should be OK .
Based on my own experience ('87 3.5efi) failure of the odometer is a prelude to the speedo itself developing a very 'wavy' needle, which will result in MOT failure when the time comes. I've attempted to have mine repaired but the specialist was...
For a stress free life, forget the EKA, turn it and the immobiliser off then you will never need iEKA and can use the key blade if the FOB doesn't work.
Before I went on holiday I said I was going down route of 1 tyre onto fubared one of old set. Guess what I lied. Going through the bay of E a tyre place not 3 miles away had 2 excellent Michelin Synchrone tyres the correct size with free fitting...
As we speak the car is out of the alarm state and can be started!
First I want to thank everybody who chimed in with information and sharing their experiences.
Now the solution I hear you think.
So all the drivers door latch tests returned...
It’s not like a straight swap or for the feint of heart.
You don’t have a clutch pedal or associated requirements like master/slave cylinders, cooling for it, electrics all sorts of niggles before you even get to adapting a box to fit. That...
My cd player keeps playing up, says no disc when there is, stripped it down twice in my 3 years of ownership and it works again even though I can see nowt wrong through my untrained eye and I haven't adjusted anything. Got a good , apparently...
Yeah, if I had a totally knacked wheel I would have a go at recovering it then on to a pro if I couldn't get it right. This one has a few nicks and a fair bit of wear, mainly on the back, so it's worth a go with the restoration kit at £25.
It's...
Looks straightforward enough to DIY to me. Looking closer at it...it doesn't look unfeasible to remove the leather and use that as a template to cut and sew on new stuff. Plenty of saddlers in Shropshire would probably have the gear and skills to...
Look what I've got hold of!
Wood is good, leather is damaged and the wrong colour but I've ordered a repair kit so see how that pans out as I've never done it before.
This mourning i went for a walk and sw a vehicle that i havnt heard of for sometime and thought some people might be intrested in .It was in camper form and looks the buisness for serious off road travel. Its an OKA and built in Australia...
Don't know and going away on holiday first thing in morning s can't check til I come back. I don't like driving with tyres that aren't right. have had 1 blow on motorway and that was once too many
First pic is before next are the ones I got yesterday. On closer inspection rear tyres need replacing as side wall hazing. So that means 2 tyres to buy. On inspecting old wheels 3 tyres very good and 1 damaged plus rim is OK so 1 new tyre needed...
We all are - Normal P38 paranoia. So we just need to be methodical and thorough. Now you have a new latch start with the door latch test. Don’t rush - it takes as long as it takes so long as it’s done correctly. We need to 100% rule things out as...
+1 on sort the blend motors. Step-1 try moving them to 50% with Nanocom, and also try the Calibration option.
Essentially you have two issues, i.e. the blend & distribution motors, plus probably no gas causing the compressor clutch error.
